Rapidly growing IT firm select Mitrefinch to manage remote workers
Laratech are a rapidly growing IT support firm based in North Yorkshire. They specialise in providing no-nonsense, jargon-free, IT support and advice to local companies.
For many of their clients they offer a cost effective alternative to an in-house IT team, on hand to provide technical support, or even friendly advice at any time.
The team can provide support to customers either via secure VPN connection or a technician can visit the customer site.
This presents a particular challenge in managing work time as technicians split their time between head office and customer sites. They also work from home or other locations occasionally to minimise travel time.
Laratech use Mitrefinch's web enabled time and attendance system T&A.Net to help ensure they have the right people available to meet their customer's needs.

Andrew adds "TMS really cuts down the admin around managing work time and turns all the stats into easy to read reports. The absence planner is excellent as I can see at a glance what my staffing levels will be and make sure I've always got the staff in place for our customers. I just wouldn't have the time to keep on top of a paper based system, especially as the team grows, but now all the data is collected automatically and feeds straight into the payroll system with minimal impact on my time"

Laratech have been using the time and attendance side of the system for the past year and now intend to extend the use of the system to include performance management . Staff will be able to clock between customers and projects, allowing accurate job costs to be generated for customer billing. For customers on a support contract Laratech will be able to monitor work done against work contracted and ensure customers are given the correct level of support.
